Harris Harvey Gallery, the reincarnation of the 39-year old Lisa Harris Gallery, is a leading Seattle fine art gallery where new and experienced collectors go to find paintings, prints, photography, and sculpture of the highest quality. Conveniently located in the historic Pike Place Market district and West Edge neighborhood of Seattle, the gallery is within walking distance of the Seattle Art Museum and SAM Olympic Sculpture Park. Harris Harvey Gallery specializes in contemporary art by local, regional, and West Coast artists, many from the Seattle area. Drawing from its group of emerging, mid-career, and established artists, the gallery mounts rotating exhibitions and participates in the First Thursday Seattle Downtown Gallery Art Walk.

Known for its lively exhibition program, the gallery has established a reputation for the quality of its long-standing relationships with artists and clients, and serves as a cultural and educational resource for the Seattle community. In addition, Harris Harvey Gallery works with art consultants, designers, and curators to place art in private, corporate, and other institutional collections. Our Staff

Sarah Harvey earned her Master of Arts degree in Art History at University of Washington, where she specialized in Modern and Contemporary art and where she taught a series of art historical writing courses. She received her B.A. in fine art from Reed College. Sarah has worked with the Seattle Art Museum on the 35th annual Betty Bowen Award (2013), authored a catalog essay for the MFA and Master of Design exhibition at Seattle’s Henry Art Gallery (2014), and co-curated the exhibition, John Cole: A Historical Perspective, at the Museum of Northwest Art in La Conner, Washington (2014). Beginning her work with Lisa Harris Gallery as an intern while pursuing her graduate studies, Sarah became Director of Harris Harvey Gallery in 2016. She recently served as juror for Gage Academy’s Spitting Image self-portraiture competition and exhibition.

Lisa Harris received her B.A. in Art History from Williams College, including studies in Paris at the Sorbonne from 1973 to 1974. While earning an M.B.A. in Arts Management from the University of California at Los Angeles (now the Anderson School at UCLA), she interned at the Oakland Museum, and from 1979 to 1980 Harris was Assistant to the President of Cornish Institute (now Cornish College of the Arts). A year later, while living in the Soviet Union, Harris arranged joint exhibitions in Nakhodka and Seattle, featuring faculty from Cornish and instructors from a counterpart Soviet institute in the closed city of Vladivostok. Before founding Lisa Harris Gallery in 1984, Harris served as Director of Pioneer Square Gallery, collaborating with other Pioneer Square galleries to establish Seattle First Thursdays. She has served as a juror or panelist for such organizations as Artist Trust (The Artist Innovator Award), Gage Academy, Clatsop Community College, and Women Painters of Washington. Most recently Harris co-curated the exhibition, John Cole: A Historical Perspective, at the Museum of Northwest Art.Harris is a founding member of the Seattle Art Dealers Association and a member of Art Table, a national organization of women in the visual arts.

Ann Pallesen is a Seattle-based artist and creative professional with extensive experience in the fine art and non-profit arena. She received her BFA from Colorado State University in Ft. Collins concentrating in photography. Previously, she served as the Gallery Director of Photographic Center Northwest (PCNW) in Seattle for nearly two decades where she produced over 150 exhibitions with emerging and renowned artists. In addition, she served as a juror for numerous exhibitions in the NW region including Contemporary Northwest Women Photographers: Frye Art Museum; Engage your World—Hipstamatic Show: Seattle Design Festival; 37th Annual National Photography Exhibition: Larson Gallery, Yakima. In 2014, Pallesen curated a traveling exhibition entitled Richard Renaldi—Touching Strangers for Aperture Foundation in NY. She has been a reviewer at numerous portfolio review events around the country including Photolucida, Fotofest and Review Santa Fe. Pallesen has exhibited her work nationally at Benham Gallery, Photo LA, Gallery 291 and Jennifer Schwartz Gallery, and she delivered an artist lecture about her photographs at the Portland Art Museum in 2016. Her commitment to collaboration, advocacy for artists and building community defines her career. Ann has been Gallery Associate of Harris Harvey Gallery since 2019.
